Rodney Hill Knowles

Mr. Knowles was born on August 31, 1950 in Trion, GA, son of the late Wanda Fletcher Knowles and John Knowles .

Mr. Knowles earned his Master’s Degree from The University of Georgia. After graduation he served as the Director of Education for many years at the Lighthouse Care Center in Augusta, GA. He loved to spend quality time with his wife of 30 years, Sally Knowles, reading and rooting for the Georgia Bull Dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Knowles of Kennesaw, GA; father, John Knowles of Dalton, GA; brothers, Randy Knowles (Wanda) of Augusta, GA, Rick (Valerie) Knowles of Cohutta, GA and Roger Knowles (Eileen) of Ringgold, GA; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Heritage Baptist Church, Cartersville with Rev. Michael Tutterow officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from one-thirty in the afternoon until service time on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Heritage Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the General Fund at Heritage Baptist Church.
