

Roger Charles Earl passed away on June 18, 2025, in Cartersville, Georgia, at the age of 79. Born on November 26, 1945, in Miami, Florida, Roger lived a life marked by dedication to his country, his profession, and his family.
Roger proudly served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Second Class – Aviation Structural Mechanic from December 29, 1965, to October 31, 1969. His years in the Navy reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment to service.
Following his military career, Roger pursued a professional path as an accountant. Through years of diligent work and attention to detail, he built a respected career before eventually retiring. His contributions in both military and civilian life were grounded in perseverance.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Jean Johnson Earl; his daughter, Deanna Charlene Cortez; and son-in-law, Elias Cortez. His granddaughter Katie Cortez-Cruz and grandson Elijah Cortez. He also leaves behind his son, Justin Earl and he is also survived by his brother Ronald Earl. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Chenery Earl.
Roger’s memory will live on through those who knew him. A Graveside Service will be held on June 26, 2025, at 09:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA.
