Roger Shook

On January 5, 2024, Roger Shook went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Roger was the son of Coyote R.H. Shook and Alice Ruth Keever Shook, who preceded him in death. He has two younger sisters, Linda Shook of Stephen City, VA and Barbara Jean Shook of Austell, GA.

Roger was married to his loving wife, Arleen Shook, for 52 years before she went home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2022. Arleen was not only Rogers’s best friend but also the love of his life.

Roger and Arleen were the proud parents of two sons. Brian Shook and his wife, Laura, of Adairsville, GA. They have three sons, Blake, Chandler and Hudson along with one daughter, Rylee. Todd Shook and his wife, Candy of Cartersville, GA have two daughters, Haley and Maggie.

Roger proudly served his country in the Marine Corp for two years then started his career in the electrical field. After 30 years of service, Roger retired from the General Motors Corporation.

Roger has been a member of Calhoun First Baptist for the last eight years where he taught Sunday School, worked with RA’s, golf cart ministry along with being an usher.

A celebration of his life will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Friday, January 12, 2024 with visitation at 12:00 pm and service at 2:00 pm.
