Ronnie Lonzo Cantrell

Ronnie Lonzo Cantrell, 78, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on December 11, 2025. Ronnie was born on October 2, 1947, son of the late John Franklin Cantrell and Lillian Ponder Cantrell. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Darlene Cantrell. Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army and a deacon at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Ronnie was a master butcher who loved being outdoors, but even more than that, he loved his church, his family and above all, his Lord and Savior. He was a good man who cherished every moment spent with the people he loved. Funny, joyful, and warm-hearted, Ronnie had a way of bringing laughter and light into the lives of everyone around him.

He is survived by his sister, Sandra Cantrell Siniard; Sister in-laws; Patricia Powell (Eugene) and Sheila Cantrell; Nieces, Shawn Collier (Marc), Christy Cantrell (David), Lori Bradley and Angie Powell (Traci). Nephews, Harlan Emery (Debbie), Sam Emery (Tonya), Eric Powell (Marlena), Jeff Powell (Christal).

Great Nieces; Meredith Collier, Ansley Powell, Lily Powell, Kenlee Powell, Avari Golden, Kayleigh Emery, Dani Morris, Jamie Thrasher. Great nephews; Jackson Collier, Riley Collier, Ethan Collier, Levi Powell, Braden Powell, Carson Powell, William Bradley, Wyatt Bradley, Weston Bradley, Peyton Emery.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister Johnette Cantrell Emery, and his brothers, Hugh Cantrell and Harold Cantrell.

Pallbearers will include; Jackson Collier, Riley Collier, Ethan Collier, Levi Powell, Braden Powell, and Carson Powell.

Funeral services will be held December 19, 2025, at 11 am, in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Cole and Rev. Ronnie Cowart officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025.
