Rovania Clark Green

Mrs. Green was born on April 30, 1939 in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late James T. Clark and Lela Weeks Clark.

Mrs. Green was of the Methodist faith and a proud and active member of Sam Jones United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Christian Women’s Group. She was a graduate of Cass High School where she loved being a cheerleader. She was very active in the Cartersville School System and served as President of Cartersville Primary and Cartersville Elementary PTA for many years. She also was a Girl Scout, Weblo and Cub Scout Pack Leader, a band parent, chaperone and advisor for Cartersville Marching Band.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Green; sister, Edith Bohlen; grandsons, Jay Bond and Clay Bond.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Green and Barry (Charlene) Green, all of Cartersville, GA; daughters, Suzanne (Mike) Bond of Cartersville, GA and Renee (Tommy) Street of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Amy Josh) Clark, Chris (Amanda) Bond, Megan Green, Erica Green, Taylor (Dustin) Harrison, Abbie Bond, Brad Green, Tori (Daniel) Reyer, Wesley Green and Tatum Street; great-grandchildren, Colton and Case Clark and Caden Green; brother, Tommy and Donna Clark of Cartersville, GA; sisters, Rona Chastain of Cartersville, GA and Teresa (Delmax) Romine of Cartersville, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harry (Faye) Green of Cartersville, GA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, April 11, 2016 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Lobello and Rev. Nena Jones officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Bond, Daniel Reyer, Brad Green, Dustin Harrison, Wesley Green, Josh Clark and Billy Long.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.
