Mr. Coker was born August 4, 1943, the son of the late, Marie and Roy Fred Coker, was an Electrician for the I.B.E.W. local 613 and was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Surviving is his daughter, Cheryl Rakestraw, two grandchildren, Katie Cantor, Alex Rakestraw, great-grandchild, Mason Cantor, sister, Dianne Bridges and husband, Gerald, nieces and nephews, step-children, Laurie Hale and Chris Grier and five step grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. with Mitzi Oates officiating, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with Military Rites.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
