Selica S. Battle

Mrs. Battle was born on March 13, 1959 in Rome, GA, daughter of the late James Rubin Scott and Frances Upton Scott of Rockmart, Georgia.

Mrs. Battle was a loving wife, mother, and nana who always had a lively and bold spirit and an amazing sense of humor. Her family was her pride and joy and she lived life each day to the fullest with them. She loved cooking delicious meals for her family and friends to spend quality time together. In her spare time, she enjoyed she enjoyed watching her son and grandson play baseball, watching her daughters cheerleading competitions or games, traveling to the beach, and dancing with her husband and family all around their home!

Mrs. Battle is survived by her loving husband of twenty-nine years, Dr. Lee Harris Battle III; son, Harris Battle; daughters, Abbey Bowman and Libby Battle; grandson, Bennett Bowman; brother, Tony Scott and his wife Sandy Scott; numerous nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 6th of December, 2020 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Drew Startup officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Mitchell Matthew, and Mason Scott, James and Dustin Mullinax, Bobby White and Harris Battle.

Honorary pallbearers are Steve Phillips, Tevin Clark, Michael Venters and Gary Sanford.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock in the evening until nine on Saturday, the 5th of December, 2020 at Owen Funeral Home.
