Senah Sabrina Owens

Senah Sabrina “Bena” Clark Owens, age 64, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 25, 1961, to Frank Clark and Patsy Widner Clark.

Bena was preceded in death by her father, Frank Clark; her mother, Patsy Clark; her grandson, Scottie Clark; and her brothers, Thommy Clark and Richard Clark.

She is survived by her son, Rodney “Robbie” Clark; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Carol (Riley) Day; her brother, George Clark; her former husband, Steve Owens; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who loved her dearly.

Bena was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved people fiercely and with all of her heart. She had a personality that could light up a room, and she made friends everywhere she went.

Bena worked at Coca-Cola for 19 years and later worked a variety of jobs throughout her life. Wherever she worked or wherever she went, she had a way of making connections with the people around her.

Bena had many things she loved. One of her favorite songs was “Everything I Do (I Do It for You)” by Bryan Adams. She also had a special love for Betty Boop.

Animals held a very special place in Bena’s heart. She loved her cats, Billy, Scooter, Swirly, and Nikki, as well as the family dog, Opie Taylor. She was an animal lover through and through and loved all things involving animals. She enjoyed teaching them new tricks and was always so proud to show everyone what they had learned.

Bena leaves behind countless memories of laughter, love, and the many little moments that made her who she was. Her family and friends shared some of their favorite memories in hopes of showing just how loving, funny, and unforgettable she truly was.

“Bena watched Dirty Dancing so much that we learned all the dance moves, learned every song, and sang along through the entire movie.”

“She would always tell the grandkids not to cuss, but the grandkids would laugh so hard when they went to town with her and she used the self-checkout. She would get so mad at the machine that she would cuss at it like it could actually hear her.”

“If there was anything involving a cat, she would stop in her tracks to look at it and talk about it.”

“She lived in Ohio and I lived in Michigan. One time, she called me and asked if I would like some company. I was so excited that I jumped up and cleaned the house. Shortly after, she called me back and said, ‘Sorry, wrong Sydney.’ We laughed so hard about that.”

“She helped reconnect me with my dad, and she was always there for me whenever I needed someone to talk to.”

“She is the reason I love nature. In the mornings, she would make both of us a cup of coffee, and we would sit on the back porch and watch the woods for deer for hours.”

“Childhood Christmas was a favorite with all of her grandchildren. The Christmas tree was decorated with ornaments the kids had made, and there was always a train around the bottom of the tree.”

“Our favorite thing to do was our nails. She had a small box full of press-on nails, and we loved working on each other’s nails.”

“I loved all of the Christmas decorations and the bouncy car she had. I loved that thing.”

“I loved when she took me to work with her at Coca-Cola one time. I learned that the Coke machine was free, and she let me keep pushing the button to get free Cokes. I must have pushed it and gotten at least 10 free Cokes, and she just let me.”

These are only a few of the many memories Bena leaves behind. Her family and friends will forever remember the laughter she brought, the love she gave so freely, and the way she could make even the simplest moments into memories worth keeping.

Bena’s life was filled with living, laughing, loving, and making memories with the people and animals she cared about. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified when the date and details have been finalized.

In honor of Bena, her sister, Carol, will be creating a flower bed in her memory. Anyone who would like to donate flowers or come by and help plant flowers in Bena’s honor is more than welcome to do so.

Though she may no longer be here with us, the memories she created, the people she loved, and the laughter she shared will remain in our hearts forever.
