Stella Mae Wigington

October 31, 2017, at age 86. A longtime resident of Cartersville, Georgia she passed away

Peacefully in her sleep.

Born in Trion, Georgia on February 8, 1931 to Grace Hines Ingle and Cicero Ingle. She married

Carl J. Wigington in 1951. She was a homemaker raising her four children .Later in life she was

Employed and retired from Nantucket Industries of Cartersville. Throughout her life she loved

to cook and care for others. She was devoted to her family and church. She will be remembered

for her kindness, compassion to all and her sweet smile. She was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church and attended Landmark Holiness Church of Cartersville.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Wigington was preceded in death by her former husband, Carl J. Wigington; son, Leon Wigington; sister, Ruby Bagley; and brother Andrew Ingle

Surviving are children, Sharon and Gary Chapman of Cartersville, GA; Shelia and Ricky Darnell

Of Cartersville ,GA; Michael and Tina Wigington of Calhoun, GA; 5 grandchildren: Dawn Chapman

Of Smyrna, Ga; Blake Darnell of Cartersville, GA; Christopher and Heather Fletcher of Dacula, GA; Joshua Wigington of Cartersville, GA; and Trista Wigington James of Cartersville, GA; 5 great-grandchildren; Sisters Johnnie Neal and Margaret Stanley both of Cartersville, GA; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. I.L. Smith and Doug Simons officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Fletcher, Josh Wigington, Blake Darnell. Ralph Bagley, Gene Bagley, Scott Ingle, Andy Ingle. Honorary pallbearers include Michael Edwards and Tim Holley.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, November 3, 2017 at Owen Funeral Home.
