Stephen (Steve) Joseph Woods Sr.

Stephen (Steve) Joseph Woods Sr., 64, son of the late Stephen C. Woods Jr. and Lucy Mae Gillette Woods, of Cartersville GA, passed away October 26, 2016. Mr. Woods was a simple man who enjoyed being around family and his two grandchildren and anticipating the arrival of the third. Mr. Woods was an avid member of Cloverleaf Missionary Baptist Church. When not busy with church or playing with his grandchildren, Steve enjoyed buying and selling baseball cards.

Mr. Woods is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Columbus Woods Jr. and Lucy Mae Gillette Woods. Also by his sister, Brenda Nell Woods.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Judy Magness Woods. Daughters; Brenda Woods (Randy) Henson and Amanda Woods and son Steve Woods Jr. (Christine Meyer), all of Cartersville GA. Sisters; Linda Woods, Debra (Kenny) Minter, Becky Woods. Brothers: Paul (Beth) Woods, Peter Woods, Timothy Woods. Grandchildren; Zachery Xavier Woods, James Austin Henson and Jacob Allen Henson (Due in December 2016)

Visitation will be held at Owen Funeral Home Friday, October 28, 2016 from five o’clock in the evening until nine.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Cloverleaf Missionary Baptist Church Saturday, October 29 at one o’clock in the afternoon with Pastor Justin Gazaway and Pastor Seth Bunch Officiating. An interment at Oak Hill Cemetery will follow the service.
