Thomas Addison Poindexter Jr.

Thomas Addison Poindexter Jr., age 56 of Taylorsville, GA passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020. Tommy was born in Rome, GA on May 15, 1963. He is preceded in death by his father; Thomas Addison Poindexter Sr.

Tommy is survived by his wife; Rhonda Kay Poindexter, son; Steven Scott Poindexter, daughter; Kristen Michelle Clyatt, mother; Jackie (Mike) Wieland and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tommy had a passion for music, playing several instruments and was the lead singing for numerous bands. He loved the outdoors on the farm, horseback riding, fishing, hiking and anything to do with nature.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Kirby Rowland and Mal Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
