Tim was born on January 20, 1962 in Rome, Ga to the late Marie and J.T. Butler.
Tim was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and papa. He was a 1980 Graduate of Pickens High School. Tim worked in Law Enforcement and did construction. He truly lived life to the fullest, through simple pleasures, making friends, spending time with family, hunting, and fishing. Tim had a way of reaching people in a positive way.
Tim is survived by his wife of 38 years Cathy Butler, Children: Daughter Jennifer Butler Frady and son-in-law Lee, Daughter Heather Butler Deyton and son-in-law Alex, Son Daniel Timothy Butler, and daughter-in-law Genesis. Seven Grandchildren, Brother Barry Butler, and Sister Jerri Butler, Mother-in-law Margie Moss, and several cousins.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 1-8pm and on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 9-2pm at Owen Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2pm on Wednesday from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper, GA.
