Mr. Travis D. Henderson

Mr. Henderson was born May 3, 1932 in Cleveland, Mississippi, the son of the late, Herbert and Idell Raney Henderson and was a member of The Church at Liberty Square. Mr. Henderson has been an active member of the Church at Liberty Square since he and his wife Judy relocated to Cartersville. Earlier in his life, he served as the State Overseer for the Church of God. Before moving to Cartersville he was a manager of Tackett Cat Fish Farms in Schlater, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard Van Henderson and a sister, Fern Crippen.

Surviving is his wife, Judy Henderson of Cartersville, children, Daniel and Joanne Henderson of Temple, Roberts and Patty Henderson of Wiemer, Texas, Cynthia Diane Henderson of Cleveland, Tennessee, grandchildren, Christian, Joseph, Matthew, Jay and Dallas, Adam, Ben and Nikki, two great grandchildren, sisters, Pat and Vern Goodman of Cleveland, Tennessee, Herbert Dell and Ira Williams of Marigold, Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Edwards and Rev. Lynn Stone officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
