Troy Dunn

Troy was born on January 29, 1947 in Marietta, GA, son of the late Willene Gillham Dunn.

Troy was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud member of Stamp Creek Baptist Church where he was loved by all of the children, especially his Sunday School class.

He graduated from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in 1965, this school helped shape his life and where he met his most treasured friends.

He was a life-long shipping manager and he completed his career in shipping at GrayBar Electric.

The accomplishment he was most proud of was raising his daughter and granddaughter Amy and Faye Luhring.

Troy was an automobile aficionado. In his spare time he also enjoyed going to GoodWill.

Troy is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Dunn.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Sherry Dunn; daughter Amy Luhring; granddaughter, Faye Luhring; brother, Steve (Susan) Dunn; his brothers by another mother, Dan Lockett, Mark King, Jim King and Roger Alexander; special fur baby, Briscoe the Wonder Dog; several nieces, nephews and church family also survive;

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, 10th of September, 2022 at Stamp Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Davis, Rev. Corey Martin and Rev. Jimmy Blackburn officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Roger Alexander, David Fowler, Glen Goldman, Joshua Alexander, Jason Bobo, Mark King and Jim King.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Lockett, Ronnie Green and Danny Lockett.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the evening until nine on Friday, the 9th of September, 2022 at Owen Funeral Home.
