Mrs. Elder was born on January 7, 1932 in Buchanan, GA, daughter of the late D.W. McAdams and Doris Larkin McAdams.
Mrs. Elder was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a proud member of the Baptist Faith. She loved tending to her flower gardens and sewing in her spare time. She was a long time member of a Home Maker’s Club in Jonesboro, GA and truly was excellent at making crafts. Every year during the Christmas season, she made fudge for all of her husband, Lester’s coworkers at Ford Motor Company, and to this day, the tradition lives on after she shared her recipe with them. Mr. and Mrs. Elder also enjoyed vacationing across the country and into Canada in their RV.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Carlton McAdams.
