
Mr. Thomas was born February 14, 1926 in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of the late, Fred Hugh and Coy (Robbins) Thomas. He was a veteran of World War II and served in Europe with the 3rd Army, 94th Infantry Division. He received the Combat Infantry Badge and Bronze Star.
He graduated from Greenville Senior High and Clemson University and grad work at Penn State. He spent 6 years on the faculty at Clemson University. His remaining years were spent in consumer marketing with major firms such as Nabisco, Pepperidge Farms and The Carpet and Rug Institute.
Surviving is his daughter and son in law, Martha Campbell and her husband, George, two grandchildren, Bailey Campbell and Cailyn Campbell.
A graveside service and inurnment will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Greenville, South Carolina with Military Rites.
