Mr. William Ray Ray Cowart

Mr. Cowart was born November 8, 1936 in Bartow County, Georgia, son of the late Hugh Cowart and Bertie Mae Tilley. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a daughter; Vickie Lynne Cowart; by a brother; Billy Cowart and by his parents.

Survivors include his wife; Betty Jean Nix Cowart; sons, Nickey Ray Cowart and spouse Dana; Scotty Lee Cowart and spouse Lisa; grandchildren; Christy Shae Cowart, Niki Renae Smith, Joshua Cowart, Zachary Cowart, Morgan Cowart and Mirindi Cowart; great-grandchildren; Raylan Hiland, Lilly Hiland and Sidney Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning February 12th at 11:00 A.M. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Cowart and Rev. Joe Nix officiating. Interement will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Brad Cowart, Burt Cowart, Bryan Nix, Russell Nix, Kevin Nix and Joe Tilley. Honorayr pallbearers include Josh Cowart, Zachary Cowart and Morgan Cowart.
