William “Paul” Simmons, 68, of Cartersville passed away January 2, 2017. Mr. Simmons was the son of the late Jack Dale Simmons and Roslyn Cain Simmons. He was a graduate of Cass High School and retired from the Department of Transportation, where he had served for 34 years. He is survived by his loving Wife, Kathleen, Son, Robert Jack Simmons (Leslie) and Grandchildren; Will, Wiley, and Margaret Simmons. The family of Mr. Simmons will be receiving friends at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cartersville, GA on Saturday January 7, 2017 at 10:30 in the morning. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Building Fund. Services for Mr. Simmons are under the direction of Owen Funeral home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville GA.
