William Segars

Mr. Segars was born October 14, 1954, the son of the late, William Earl and Sydney Anne (Kennedy) Segars, was a U.S. Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is his wife Josie Segars of Taylorsville, children, Steven “Bubby” and Shelley Segars, Jake and Amanda Segars, Chas and Justin Stephenson, Steph Papapetrou, Eliza and John Pruitt, grandchildren, Zachary, Grace and Emma Segars, Madison and McKenzie “Sissy” Stephenson, Maddox Stephenson, Jacob, Jeremy and Haley Pruitt, Kaylee and Timmy Papapetrou, Isabella Segars and Brady Cole, sisters and brothers in law, Jane and David Bennett, Mary Anne and Bill Benefield, brother and sister in law, Robert and Pam Segars, mother in law, Bessie Lee Nelson and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. David Bennett officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
