

Mr. Shadden was born in Nashville, TN, son of the late William Neal Shadden, Sr. and Josephine Blocker Shadden.
Mr. Shadden graduated from Cartersville High School, where he was active in a variety of sports and other school activities. He later attended Georgia Tech, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management in 1954. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He served as the President of the Bartow Chamber of Commerce for two years. He also served the community as the president of The First National Bank in Cartersville and later, Cartersville Cable TV. He was a member of the Rotary Club and a founding member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he could always be found on the tennis courts or watching college football.
Mr. Shadden is preceded in death his wife of fifty-six years, Miriam Byrd Wilson Shadden and his brother, Blocker Shadden.
Survivors include his sons, William Neal (Tina) Shadden III and Joe (Dale) Shadden; grandchildren, Carter Shadden , Glenn (Sarah) Shadden, Meredith (Jake) Adler, and Jessica Shadden; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on February 12, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Lyle and Rev. Kirk Bozeman officiating.
