Ana Maria Olavarria, 83, died October 30, 2026. Born July 9, 1943, in Puerto Rico, Ana was one of thirteen children of the late Jose Rodriguez and Rosa Hernandez. She carried herself with a quiet grace, and those who knew her will remember the steady kindness and gentle care she offered in the ordinary moments of life.
For many years, Ana worked at Whole Foods in Cary, where her considerate nature and calm presence were felt by coworkers and customers alike. In all she did, she was marked by a sincere warmth and a giving spirit.
Ana was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, a faith community that reflected the reverence and devotion that guided her life.
Ana was preceded in death by her brothers, Israel Rodriguez and Jose A. Rodriguez; and sisters, Carmen Vazquez, Iris Rodriguez, and Gloria Rodriguez.
Ana is survived by her spouse, Jorge Enrique Lozada, Sr.; children, Edwin Olavarria (Gladys), Angel Luis Olavarria (Maritza De Lourdes), Pablo Olavarria (Gloria), Reynaldo Olavarria, Adrian Olavarria (Marisol), Jorge Enrique Lozada, Jr. (April), and Evelyn Lozada Dreyer (Eder Verano); sister, Candida Rodriguez; thirteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6pm - 8pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, NC 27511, Tuesday November 3rd. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12pm at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd., Cary, NC 27513, on Wednesday, November 4th. Burial will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
