Angela Reppert, 69, of Cary, NC, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on June 3, 2010, after a short struggle with cancer. She was born Angela Genevieve Cirone on November 26, 1940, in Jersey City, NJ. She was the youngest of two daughters born to Michael Cirone and Agnes Bell-Cirone. Angela grew up in the small town of Leonia, NJ and graduated from that high school in 1958. She then went on to become a registered nurse following her schooling at Saint Clare’s Hospital School of Nursing located in New York City. After graduating, she worked as a nurse in several New York and New Jersey hospitals before entering the U.S. Air Force in 1963. While serving at the rank of a captain, she worked as a nurse in numerous specialties at locations in Alabama, Texas, Arizona, as well as overseas in Libya and Vietnam. While in the combat zone of Vietnam she experienced many nursing challenges including taking care of the wounded during the Tet Offensive. Upon leaving active military service in 1969, she continued her military service as a flight nurse with the New Jersey Air National Guard. Angela later left active nursing and went on to a new career in pharmaceutical sales, a career that eventually brought she and her husband to North Carolina from Connecticut.
Angela is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jack W. Reppert; two sons, Todd D. and Michael L. Reppert; two daughters-in-law, Michelle L. and Stephanie N. Reppert; two recently arrived granddaughters, Nicole Summer and Cora Elizabeth Reppert; and her sister, Mary Ann Arkoos. In addition, Angela has numerous other family and, without a doubt, thousands of wonderful friends located throughout the world, friends with whom Angela has always managed to stay in touch. Friends and family alike will miss the warmth, friendliness, fun loving and honest nature of this great woman.
