Ann Boyd Clark entered God’s everlasting kingdom on July 29, 2021. She was a resident of Cary NC, most recently residing at Glenaire Retirement community. She was born in Indiana PA on March 30, 1926. She lived in Pennsylvania until moving to Poughkeepsie, NY in the early 1950’s where she lived for over 40 years. She retired to Cary, NC in 1994.
Ann graduated from Allegany University in 1948 with a BA in Music. Her love for music continued throughout her life and she was a member of church choirs at the First Presbyterian Church, Poughkeepsie, and Cary Presbyterian Church. She was always active in her church, working as the treasurer in Poughkeepsie, ordained as a Deacon and Elder and participating in numerous church groups. She was recognized as an Honorary Lifetime Member of Presbyterian Women and received an Outstanding Older Adult Award from the New Hope Presbytery of NC.
Ann was married to her sweetheart, Alfred L. Clark for 48 years before Alfred’s passing in 1997. She is survived by her four Children and their spouses and eight grandchildren and three great granddaughters: Alfred R. and Janet Clark, Jeffrey W. and Carolyn Clark, Mark G. and Leslie Clark and Carol A. and Richard Clemens. Grandchildren: A. Randall, Dennis & Amanda. Michelle, Megan, Matthew, Kaylin, Emily and Jason. Great Grandchildren: Kennedy, Madison and Scarlett.
A memorial service will be scheduled at Cary Presbyterian Church, at a later date and an interment at Centre Presbyterian Church in New Park, PA.
