Anthony Mark Brannon

October 28, 1964April 8, 2010

Anthony Mark Brannon, 45, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 2010. He was born in Inglewood, CA on October 28, 1964. Anthony was a very strong believer in Jesus Christ and felt that nothing was impossible when you place your trust in God. His faith gave him the courage to face anything in life. He was also a man of many talents from being a brilliant attorney at law, passionate about cooking Italian pasta dishes for everyone or anybody, jamming on the guitar, joy riding on his Harley or having the ability to build whatever he saw. Anthony was gregarious, larger than life and every life he touched he changed. Most importantly to Anthony was his family. Anthony worked so hard to make sure his wife and children were well taken care of. Anthony was the best Daddy who will be truly missed.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Dominique Brannon of Holly Springs, NC; four children, Adam, Noah and Luke and daughter, Savannah; brother, Dr. Greg Brannon of Cary, NC; mother, Estelle and Keith Hague of Raleigh, NC.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park, Cary.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 13 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a special fund set up for Anthony’s children at Crescent State Bank, 1005 High House Road, Cary, NC 27513.

I am very sad to hear this.

Anthony inspired me to explore the conservative political philosophy after I had been raised my whole life as a Democrat. He recommended I listen to Dennis Prager close to 20 years ago and that dramatically changed my life philosophy .

I am running for city council in Huntington Beach, California now and I have to give Anthony a lot of the credit for inspiring me in that pursuit.

God bless you and your family Anthony.

I'll see you on the other side.

I went to law school with Anthony. A nicer guy you'll never know. My heart aches for his wife and three precious, beautiful boys. Godspeed, Anthony, and god bless you're family.

Yesterday at the 11:30 AM Mass on Mother's Day, Anthony's mother Estelle was so sad and told me about the loss of her dear son. Being an Usher at church, I know so many faces and people, but don't know all their names, so I was so very saddened to realize it was Estelle's son who lost his life in the tragic accident that I read about in the newspaper. It was only a few months ago that I spoke to Anthony about his three adorable sons that he had with him at church, but didn't know his name. Yes, he will be greatly missed, and I offer my deepest sympathy to all of your family. Sincerely, Ruth A. Tripp, Usher, St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Anthony was a fine person and a smart lawyer; courageous, yet kind and endearing when expressing his point of view on controversial subjects. I am saddened to hear of Anthony's death and will keep his family in my prayers. Colossians 1.

Unable to attend the services of one person who made an inpact on my life will be a loss that I will always regret. I have vivid memories of my time spent with Anthony in 1998-1999 at Campbell. I will always cherish those times. I wish the best for his family.

25 years ago I met Anthony when he joined our garage band . He instantly gave us more life and more rhythm , putting his heart into every note . His smile , his caring nature , the happiness he brought to me and my friends in those days I will cherish . When Anthony moved to North Carolina to be closer to his family , never did I think I would not see my friend again in this life . Life is fleeting , I greatly mourn my loss . I prey all the best for his family and especially his children ! see you in heaven , Ant's de beat !

As neighbors of Anthony and Dominique's, and as a patient of Dr. Brannon's for 10 years, we were devastated to hear of Anthony's passing. I will always remember Anthony smiling broadly whenever he gave his son a ride around the block on his Harley. The look was pure love and joy. Please know that you are all in our prayers.

Anthony and I became friends while he was a law clerk at the Court of Appeals. We often traded stories about our lives in the COA breakroom. We remained friends after he left to go into private practice. I could always go to Anthony to talk. Just a week or so ago I was sitting in his office looking at family pictures and watching him work. He loved his family and Anthony enjoyed making people happy. His annual Christmas Parties were the talk of the town. Those who knew him know we have lost an amazing human. He was "larger than life" in so many ways. I will miss his genuine friendship. My prayers are with his family.
