Much like so many friends of Barbie, we considered her part of our family and she was so gracious as to accept the Gill’s as her extended family. Barbie was a great friend to my Mom Barbara Gill, who passed away and into the arms of Jesus Christ on September 12, 2019. Barbie and my Mom had a special bond. A special friendship. Barbie was always so kind, gracious, generous, patient and always a true friend to her. She made my Mom’s senior years so much better and enjoyable. The time they spent together, the trips they went on, and the quiet times enjoying each other’s company and families will always be special memories for us.
We all had the opportunity to enjoy time with Barbie at many of our family events and holidays. A special annual tradition was our visit to the Ringling Brothers Circus at PNC Arena. This is a photo of Barbie and my Mom at the circus.
We will miss Barbie but know she is in the hands of Jesus Christ. She is now healthy, happy, and spending time with all those family and friends who left this earth before her. I know she and my Mom reunited and I am sure my Mom is once again driving her crazy! But I also know that Barbie’s love, kindness, patience and infectious smile and laughter is making my Mom, and a lot of folks much happier as well.
Rest in peace dear friend. We will miss you, but we will never forget all that you did for my Mom and for our family. We were truly blessed that you were a part of our life!

Sorry to hear that Barb passed away. Barb and Don had a great influence on me as the younger brother growing up. Loved going to their house as there was lots of activity, new projects, and things to do. Always remember the Columbus house kitchen remodel with the hole in the floor and a laundry basket in the basement to catch the puppies if they fell through. Also the Christmas chaos with six kids opening presents and wanting to play with the new toys. Barb will be missed!

We were so sorry to hear of Barb's passing away. Your whole family has our prayers and sympathy. We'll always cherish the memories we have of the triple dating we did together while living in Columbus - the Tschan's, the Hempel's and the Koblitz's. We were all married the same year and had our first child the next.
Great Years - Good Times - Wonderful Memories.

When we were all young and raising our kids Barb would give us a call , why don't you come over tonight? When we got there our oldest son Paul would whisper in his mom's ear , can you ask Barb to make pizza and it was always from scratch .We would play cards she was like her dad could play cards and new what every one had in their hands. She really loved traditions. Here she is making oyster stew on a Christmas Eve, with some help from Dwayne and Ashley. Christmas Eve was always her favorite.
