Becky Beal

Helen Rebecca “Becky” Kiser Beal passed peacefully with her family by her side on February 15th, 2023 due to a long battle with illness. Becky was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 22, 1947 to James Craig Kiser and Helen Cassidy Kiser but spend most of her childhood in Lincolnton, North Carolina.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, Frank Bradley "Brad" Beal and her much loved dachshunds, Ginger and Lady, sister Jane Modlin and husband Mike Modlin, brother Craig Kiser and wife Sandra, and brother Dan Kiser and wife Mary.

Becky graduated from Lincolnton High School, Meredith College, Auburn University where she earned a Masters in Library Science, and VPI, PHD Adult Education. Becky had a passion for learning and giving others the opportunity and resources to learn as well through her work in several organizations such as PEO and the Meredith College Alumni Association. She loved being an Educator and learning librarian.

She was an avid reader and loved to travel, especially to the beach. She spent extensive time in China, often talking with others about her experiences. Becky loved devoting much love to all of her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and nephews and watching them grow and mature. Becky loved loving others and often expressed this love through gifts to others and cards. Becky’s caring heart, generous, and joyful spirit will be greatly missed but the family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord.
