Brenda Carole Jones Chenery

Brenda Carole Jones Chenery, 64, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 16, 1946 in Oxford, NC to the late William and Dorothy (Clement) Jones. Brenda Carole graduated from Meredith College, began her career as a software engineer with IBM, married the love of her life, Gil, and then stayed at home to raise her three children.

Brenda Carole is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gilbert Chenery of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Debra Chenery Pierce of Cary, NC, sons, Michael G. Chenery of Dayton, OH, William (Bill) D. Chenery of Raleigh, NC; four grandsons, Keegan, Blake, Elliott and Oliver Pierce of Cary; sister, Dorothea Wright of Rocky Mt, NC, brother, William (Bill) S. Jones Jr. of Raleigh, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 9, 2011 at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church in Cary. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
