She Attended Kansas University but later transferred to Duke University where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology.
Upon graduation from Duke University, Carol accompanied her husband to College Station, Texas, while he was in graduate school at Texas A & M, and they later relocated to Michigan and then to New York City before settling in the Washington, DC area.
Carol's children, Erin and Brendan, were born in Washington, DC, at Georgetown University Hospital. While in Potomac, Maryland, Carol owned and operated Lewis of London, a boutique specializing in high-end furniture for babies and children.
The family later moved to Annapolis, Maryland. Carol was gifted in interior design as well as sales and marketing. She worked for Danker Furniture in Annapolis, Maryland designing and furnishing office space for clients. She also worked briefly in real estate before moving to Cary, North Carolina.
Most recently, Carol was employed as one of the office managers at Dude Solutions, a cloud-based software company. Here she got to do what she loved most by designing newly built office space for the ever-expanding company.
Carol was known for her welcoming smile, her enthusiasm, her creativity, and her compassion. She faced whatever challenges she encountered with determination and resolve. She loved her family unconditionally.
Carol enjoyed the ocean, especially the family's annual trips to Hilton Head, South Carolina. Perhaps most of all, Carol had a profound love for animals, especially cats and dogs.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
