Ms. Veltri was my 5th grade teacher at North Ridge Elementary School (2011). She was such an amazing teacher. She was worried about me when I was going to Middle School. She thought I was a beautiful girl and she wanted me to take care of myself and succeed in life. She once told my mother that once I graduated to come by and show her what I had accomplished, now that I'm graduating in 2018 I won't have the chance to look her in her eyes and thank her for believing in me. Where ever you are Ms. Veltri, Thank you, for being an amazing teacher and for believing in me ❤

I was just talking about Ms. Veltri to my cousin today and looking up Christ Lutheran School on the internet when I saw Carol has passed; how shocking it was and sad. Ms. Veltri was a teacher that literally changed my life in her 5th and 6th grade classes, She got my brightness and allowed me to be an individual and challenged me at a level few teachers ever did. Because of that and despite having dropped out of high school at 15, I went on later to a top law school...remembering she thought I was smart and I believed it too. I found her about 7 or 8 years ago to purposely thank her for her affect on me as a child and how I carried that with me to believe in myself eventually. She was typical Carol, very humble refusing to take any credit for my success. I'm especially glad that I did find her and tell her that.

I was so saddened to hear of Carol's  passing.  We worked together at Christ Lutheran School many years ago.  She was a wonderful teacher and mentor.  I will fondly remember her caring way with her students and her love and devotion to her family.  She was a very special person who will be missed by many.

I was just talking about Miss veltri to a friend. I am saddened to hear about her passing. She was my 5th and 6th grade teacher,at Christ Lutheran School. Miss veltri always made me feel as if... I was one of her favorites. I gave Miss veltri a candy dish as a child. The next day she filled it with candy and gave it out to my classmates. Miss Veltri insisted I got to take the first piece. They were red delicious gummie candies. Miss Veltri also went roller skating with me and a couple of other classmates.I loved her so much! She was a class act! She shaped me into the woman I am today! I am a published Author and former Radio Broadcaster. Rest in peace. I loved you so much! God be with you until we meet again!I am praying for her family and friends.

I was so saddened to hear the news that Ms. Veltri passed.  She was my fifth and sixth grade teacher.  She taught me so many values and life lessons that have helped mold me into the woman that I am today.  She was an amazing teacher and an awesome woman.  She will be missed dearly.

I was one of those students who, when it came to math, I event felt that I couldn't learn past the 4 operations. Ms. Veltri is the reason why I know what a prime factorization table, T-Table or greatest common factor is. Because of her standards, I seek accountability & honesty from anyone who is in my life. Rest in Peace.

All three of our children enjoyed having Carol as their Fifth Grade teacher.  My husband and I are grateful that our children had the opportunity to be in Carol's class and the impact that she made in their and our lives.  Carol will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.

This has been a long and sorrowful journey.  However I often smile when remembering Carol's dry wit and wonderful humor.  She could make her co-workers dissolve in laughter with even the smallest comment. 

Fortunate are those who were taught by this wonderful educator.  She is  sorely missed!

Ms. Veltri: Don't ask me why, but at home today I was compelled to pull a section of the newspaper out of a bag of the week's old papers, and strangely it opened right to the obituaries, where I saw the news of your passing. I was so saddened, however this reminded me of how fortunate I was to have been your student at Baileywick Elementary, in what I seem to remember as my 4th grade year. I truly appreciated your New York-y wit and originality, and you were probably the only teacher who has ever made math fun for me, even through college. Thank you for being an inspiring, awesome and cool lady. I wish you and your family all the peace in the universe.

Carol and I started out together as Baileywick's first 5th grade teachers.  We always took care of each other and of our students.  We had so many happy times together for the five years we taught 5th grade.  She had such a great heart and a caring attitude for all of her students.  I will always treasure our memories together. My son never had Ms. Veltri as a teacher, but she had an impact on his life.  He has autism and every time he walked past her classroom, Ms. Veltri would stop everything and invite him in for a short chat.  She made him feel so special, and she taught her students how to accept someone who is just a little different.  We will always remember her for her kindness.

Ms. Veltri was a terrific teacher at Baileywick. She taught 3 out of my 5 children. My children learned a lot  in her classes. My family liked and respected Carol Veltri.  One of my daughters said she made learning fun and said funny things. My other two had fond memories, as well. We will miss her.

I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach with Carol. She was a wonderful teacher who has touched the lives of so many students over her years of teaching. Carol was a dear friend who will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

Carol I will always remember your wonderful smile and your love for your nieces and nephews, and I am so glad you got to attend Gregs wedding. I am so sorry that Hurricane sandy kept us from getting there to see you but I know we will all meet again in the after life. Your pain and suffering are over but you left a true legacy one that will be hard to fill, for I am sure you touched many lives of the children you taught and you always kept that smile up.I will miss you but I will always remember all the good times we had when we got together for family reunions.
