Dear Buzz,

Deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of Carole.  We so much enjoyed playing bridge with you  Monday afternoons at Bond Park.  Carole was both a knowlegable  competitor and kind, pleasant friend.  You took such good care of her, and we will miss you.

Dear Buzz and Family,
I'll always remember Carole as being one of the most gifted people I know.  She had so many interests and was could always find humor in the most frustrating moments. 
Carole was a great bridge player and it amazed me how she always seemed to know every card I held in my hand.  I chuckle when I remember how Carole would tap me on the hand  if I played out of turn or made the wrong lead.
I enjoyed watching all of you children grow up into good  responsible adults.   You were all so special to Carole.  I knew Forrest and Kirsten better as we lived on Tanglewood Dr for only seven years.   I'll never forget Kirsten coming to our house on Tanglewood  Dr. ,  picking up a book at age 4 and reading to me.    Needless to say, I was stunned.  Forrest, Carole was so happy you moved back to North Carolina. 
I have fond memories of Carole.  She was so special.

Carole was a very dear bridge partner.     We shared many a happy time these last five years.

I'll always remember her pleasant smile and her great outlook on life  -- nothing was too difficult to
     be addressed.

I just talked to her about six weeks ago.  We planned a luncheon with some bridge friends.

She was  a great lady.  I will surely miss her.    She loved her  husband and family  very much.

So Sorry -- May she rest in peace.

Dear Forrest and family.  My mother Herta and I wanted to  express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear wife Carole.  My mom considers you both some of her dearest friends at Searstone and we were very shocked and saddened to hear of her passing.  We hold you in our thoughts,  Kurt and Herta Regensburger.

The year was 1970.  Between March and October, twelve women were pregnant on short Tanglewood Street.  Eleven were boys including Jimmy Reske and Forest Hentz.  Was there something in the water????  Buzz and Carole were at our house (Jim and Patsy Reske) many nights playing bridge.  Many good memories.

Carole was the ultimate bridge player and was an important part of our Tanglewood bridge club which has met every other week since 1968.  We were all young families and now most of us are grandparents, enjoying watching the future generation grow into adulthood. I, also, was privileged to work with Carole for a few years after she became an interior decorator. She taught me a lot about home design and also how to make all kinds of window treatments - it was a fun time, one I still appreciate after all these years. She and Buzz loved their family and were great caretakers of Will following his mother, Kirsten’s, death. Jim and I wish the family well during this sad time. After a number of years of physical difficulties, it is certain that she is in a better place now. Our hearts go out to each of you. Love, Carolyn and Jim Hammerle

I played bridge many times in Cary with Carole as my opponent.  She was always pleasant and an excellent bridge player.  Sending my thoughts and prayers to her family.
