Cathryn Moerbe

Cathryn Ann Nieswander Ketzer Moerbe, age 71, of Cary, North Carolina, died on September 9, 2015. She was born September 18, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Warren Dale and Elizabeth “Ann” Nieswander. Cathryn was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Ann Nieswander; her husband, Ron Moerbe; her three children, Dawn Ketzer, Amy Cipolla and her husband, Chris, and TJ Ketzer and his wife, Jayme; and her step-children, Claudia Ann and her husband, “Boxcar” Curtis, and Ron and his wife, Sara Moerbe. In addition, she had eight grandchildren, Brianna Ketzer Whitehead and her husband, Patrick, Emily Ketzer, Warren Ketzer, Maggie Ketzer, Wyatt Ketzer, Nick Cipolla, Evie Cipolla, and Asia Curtis.

Cathryn grew up in the Toledo/Maumee, Ohio area and lived in Texas, Florida, and North Carolina. She had worked for Andersons and Hewlett Packard, and was retired from Siemens. Cathy loved her “very gentle gentleman”, Ron, and their four dogs. She enjoyed going to the beach and the mountains; one of her favorite trips was to Estes Park, Colorado for Brianna’s wedding. She had numerous friends and was loved by everyone she met. She was like her father, she never met a stranger. Her hobbies were gardening, playing with her puppies, reading, and crossword puzzles.

She made a difference in all the lives she touched.

The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, North Carolina 27511. The funeral will be held 1:00pm Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary, NC 27513.
