Celene F. Riley (nee Ross), 54, a longtime resident of Kearny, NJ passed away peacefully Tuesday February 27, 2018, at her home in Cary, NC. Celene’s final days were spent surrounded by her family. Born in Renfrew, Scotland Celene grew up in Kearny, NJ and started a family with her husband Kevin in Fair Lawn, NJ before relocating to Cary, NC 10 years ago. Celene earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Baruch College in New York and later earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant. Celene’s working life started as an accountant at Sony Electronics Inc., Park Ridge, NJ and finished as SVP of Accounting at Amundi Pioneer, Durham, NC.
Celene was one of four children born to the late John and Frances Ross and was the beloved wife of Kevin J Riley. She will forever be remembered by her loving children, son, Andrew; daughter Grace; devoted brothers Stephen and John; faithful sister Jacqueline; caring in-laws Ann and Thomas McShane, John and Jill Riley, Alice and Tina Ross. Celene touched the lives of her adoring nieces and nephews, Cameron and McKenna Ross, Amanda and John Ross, Aly Ross, Keira and Dylan Riley, Erin McShane and the late Thomas C. McShane.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation for Celene from 3 to 6 PM Sunday March 4th, 2018 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary NC 27511. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM, Monday March 5th, 2018 St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park, Cary, NC.
