I had a dream of Chrissy last night and when I awoke I felt the strong urge to search her whereabouts. I knew her father Karl, a unique and kind man. Her late brother Tommy gave me my first real horseback riding lessons from his stable in Middletown. I worked with Chrissy at local restaurant, then called Barclay's, during the mid 80's. I worked the kitchen and Chrissy the dining room. We had so much fun literally all the time. Never had a bad word with her. Maybe the last time I saw Chrissy was about 25 years ago. We worked together at least two years. I loved her and her whole family. Blessed are all these good people who enjoyed her love and humor as much as I did. Humbly and fondly, Helmut Eckart

All of us in the BAE Retiree Lunch Group are going to miss Chrissie at our monthly luncheons. We all enjoyed her easy conversational style and general good humored personality. Most of us in the group at some point have worked with Chrissie and will attest that she was a spitfire when things needed to be done and always wanted to please others.  Chrissie was interested in other people, especially enjoying their stories about the places they had been and eager to add her experiences to the conversation. She was excited about living and full of short and long term plans. Her joy of life showed through in her work day efforts, with her delight in friends, and when she would talk proudly about her family. She is leaving our fledgling group with a wonderful memory of her friendship. 

I know this photo doesn't show the beauty of your mother, as her hair was blowing in the wind when this photo was taken.

However, I will say that I remember this day very fondly and how kind and peaceful Mrs. Shepard is. She is so proud of Caitlin and the work that Caitlin does with her dear horse, Harriet. 

I remember that Mrs. Shepard was very welcoming to me as the entire Shepard family welcomed me into the event of watching Caitlin compete with Harriet a few months back. 

I'm very sorry for your loss.

We did not know Chrissie well; however, your kind spirit has made an impression on both of us...we know Chrissie must have been equally special as the two of you are one. Jenna and I remember the first time we met Chrissie after moving into the neighborhood.  We were hanging out at the pool and I remember how our conversation quickly turned to stream restoration which I had worked in for many years.  Most people have no clue that stream restoration is even a thing so having someone to converse with about this was awesome for me.  If I we had a word to describe the feeling my wife and I felt when meeting Chrissie it would be comfort.  There is something about meeting genuine good people like Chrissie in this crazy world we live in today that gives you a rare sense of comfort.  Although she has moved on from this world she will never leave our thoughts.

Dear Rick & Family,
I only had a few moments with Chrissie  at Daymark Realty work events.   Her spirit of sweetness was contagious.  We were so  excited to talk about her  first grand baby. The sparkle in her eye becoming a grandma, was priceless. We shared a kindred spirit together because  I am a grandma.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  May God's unfailing love be your comfort during this time. 

Chrissie was a wonderful part of the BAE Extension team, I was very thankful to work with her.  She was always positive and willing to learn, but also had a lot of fun.  Will miss her, family is in our prayers.


I miss Chrissie. Her smile. Her contagious laughter.  Her wonderful sense of humor. How helpful and pleasant a personality!  I always looked forward to the events when we got to spend time and work together.  How much fun that time was over the years.   It just never seemed like work. She was such a part of the BAE workshops that it just has not been the same since she retired.  I miss Chrissie.....

Chrissie always had a smile and always had a great attitude toward anything.  Rick and Chrissie are the couple you try to become. True love. We will all miss her so much and my prayers are with the entire family during this hard time. She is an angel and will always look over all of us.
