Christopher Francis May

Christopher Francis May, age 64, passed away on September 11, 2023 in Cary, North Carolina. He was the loving and devoted husband of Maureen Jean May (Quinlivan) of Cary, North Carolina for 30 years. His love and unwavering support for Maureen brought immense joy and meaning to his life.

Born in Oneida, New York, Mr. May worked in broadcasting for 30 years in television news, radio and television advertising sales. While a Syracuse area native, he lived in Buffalo, Detroit, Michigan and Long Island, New York before moving to the Raleigh, North Carolina area in 2006.

He is the brother of five siblings, Michael (Jackie), Andrew (Cynthia), Gretchen, Therese (James) and Peter May. He is survived by 27 nieces and nephews, and 22 great-nieces and nephews. Chris loved being an uncle and had a particularly close relationship with his nieces, Quinn and Hannah. He shared a special role in their lives.

Chris was full of life and gave so much of himself to those he loved. He got great joy from bringing people together, and hosting both family and friends with food, laughter and entertainment. May his memory continue to bring joy and warmth to all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, 200 SE Maynard Road Cary, North Carolina 27511, with a reception to follow.
