Clara Ann Davis

Clara Ann Davis, 83, passed away on June 13, 2026. Born April 24, 1943, in Chesapeake, Virginia, Clara was the beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth and Oliver Windell Waters. Her life was marked by steady integrity and a quiet strength that carried her through each season with dignity.

Clara was the spouse of a Navy veteran, Donald Robert Davis, who preceded her in death. Through the years, she met life with clear-eyed honesty and resilience—qualities that shaped the way she loved, worked, and showed up for those who depended on her.

She built a career in fine jewelry retail sales, serving customers with Goldie Rocks and Macy’s. In work that called for both discernment and trust, Clara was known for her straightforward manner and dependable presence, offering care and professionalism in every interaction.

Clara is survived by her son Gregory Davis and his wife, Sandra; daughters, Tina Lynn Megginson, and Lara Ann Hanley; brother, Jimmy Waters; and sister, Mary Patricia Stubbs; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. and one great great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, JR Waters.

A private graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
