She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 5, 1936 to James and Veronica Flanagan. She was married to
Gerard McNeill for 27 years. Clare worked as an administrative assistant for The Diocese of Metuchen for many years. Upon retiring and relocating to North Carolina, she volunteered at her local library.
Clare was a “cat person” who owned two cats she treasured, Sapphire and Paddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerard McNeill, her father, James Flanagan, her mother, Veronica Flanagan, and her brother, Peter Flanagan.
She is survived by her children, Moira Wilmers, Monica Maginnis, and James McNeill.
