Born in Cary, NC he was the son of the late Crayton Clements Banks and the late Lola Smith Banks.
Lynn graduated from Cary High School and Wake Forest College. Mr. Banks was a real estate broker and an appraiser. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed birdwatching and fishing in Beaver Dam (Cumberland County). Lynn was a "Grillmaster" and also enjoyed spending time on the river in Vandemere, NC.
Lynn was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Neal Byrum Banks; and a brother, Thaddeus Milton Banks.
Survivors include his daughter, Bonny Lynn Banks; son, Thaddeus Neal Banks (Donna); grandchildren, Perry Neal Banks (Rianne), Tyson Greye Banks (Rebecca); and great grandson, Benjamin Charles Banks.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Cary.
