Curtis Blair Coate

Curtis Blair Coate, age 67, of Waco, Texas died March 28, 2024. Born in the Valley of Texas he grew up to become an accomplished airplane and helicopter mechanic working for US Defense contractors, such as, Raytheon, Chrysler and others. Curtis worked as an ex-pat throughout his career and was stationed in Kuwait, Iraq, Guatemala, Colombia, Egypt and more. After his working years, he retired happily in Cary, NC with family.

Curtis is survived by his three daughters, Lauren Coate, Jaclyn Wands and Kira Coate. As well as his first wife, Leah Lehman; mother, Joan Coate; brother, Burt Coate; nieces and a nephew.

All are welcome for a visiting hour and service at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM respectively on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC. Additionally, the family welcomes all for drinks in celebration of Curtis' life at a reception at 3:00 PM at The Big Easy in Cary, NC.
