Lt. Col. Curtis Andrew Nolen, USAF (Ret.), 75, of Holly Springs, NC died April 13, 2020 at his home. He was the son of the late J.D. Nolen and Nellie Wood Nolen. He was born June 11, 1944 in Blount County, AL.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nata Fowler Nolen of Holly Springs, NC; son, Curtis Aubrey (Kurt) Nolen; daughter-in-law, Dr. Tracy Nolen; and grandsons, Archie and Aubrey Nolen, all of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Murray, and three brothers, Bill, Gather, and John Nolen, all of Blount County, AL. He was the son-in-law of the late Aubrey and Lucile Fowler, both longtime residents of Live Oak (Suwanee County), FL.
Curtis was graduated from Auburn University in 1964 and received his MBA from Nova University. He retired from Pfizer Animal Health in November 2000 and Phibro, Inc. in March 2006. Lt. Col. Nolen served in the military from 1965-2004. He served in the Florida Air National Guard 125th Fighter Group, Jacksonville, FL and was retired to the United States Air Force Reserve.
Curtis will be inurned at Live Oak Cemetery in Live Oak, FL in the Fowler Family Lot. Services will be announced at a later date due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
