David Charles Wylie

A veteran of the US Marine Corp, David carried forward a steady sense of duty throughout his life. He later worked as a Tech Specialist for IBM for many years, retiring with over 30 years of service. In both his military service and his long professional career, David was known for the quiet strength of a hard-working life and the considerate, thoughtful way he approached the people and responsibilities entrusted to him. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and will be dearly missed by Family and many Friends.

David is survived by his wife, Sue Willis Wylie; daughter, Robbi Dry fiancé Jay sons, Travis Wylie, and Randy Wylie wife Beth, grandchildren, Caroline husband Matt, Suzanne, Nicholas wife Kaylee, Jackson, and great granddaughter Emma Kay.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. The family will receive friends during a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home.
