Dominick Joseph Vasques

Dominick was born September 16th, 1932, in Hartford, CT, to the late Nicholas Salvatore and Antoinette (Francolino) Vasques. He was a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford CT, served in the US Army and attended Trinity College in Hartford CT. He worked for several years in Accounting, Purchasing and Sales and most recently worked in Security until his retirement a few months ago.

On October 23, 1954 he married the love of his life Elizabeth Ann (Enes) Vasques and they had just celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. They spent many years living in Connecticut before relocating to Barre, Vermont and then to North Carolina where they could be closer to family, with which he cherished spending time. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by sons Stephen and wife Marie (Swales) Vasques of Cary, Christopher Vasques and fiancée Fran Hughes of Apex, Daniel and wife Kathy (Blodgett) Vasques of Raleigh, his daughter, Elizabeth (Lisa) Vasques of Raleigh and his daughter-in-law Joanne Vasques of Hebron, CT. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, his 3 sisters Josephine Mancuso, Gloria Brophy and Mary-Rose Vasques, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dominick was preceded in death by his son Michael Dominick Vasques.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2016, at 2:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. The family will receive friends following the service.
