Dora A. Carter, 89, formerly of Saginaw, MI passed away June 24, 2011 in Chapel Hill, NC. She was born on July 15, 1921 in Baakline, Lebanon. Mrs. Carter was a life-member of the Martha Washington Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #113. She spent most of her life in Saginaw, MI until 2006 when she moved to Chapel Hill, NC to be with her children.
She is survived by daughter Wafaa A. Carter and husband Arthur Jolin of Chapel Hill, NC; daughter Fida V. Duty and grandson TSgt David T. Duty Military Working Dog Handler USAF stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, MO, both residing in Sedalia, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Amien Carter.
Private services are being held in NC.
