Doreen Davis Reynolds

Doreen lived a full life of love, laughter, and feistiness. To know Doreen was to know her love to teach, to garden, and her philanthropic efforts. Much of her life was spent pouring love and knowledge into the many children she taught for thirty-four years at Cary Elementary School and the Wake County School System. After retirement, Doreen volunteered much of her time at Rex Cary Surgery Center, Transitions Hospice, and taught English as a Second Language at Westwood Baptist Church.

Doreen was joyfully welcomed into heaven by her beloved son in law John H. Boykin, Jr and her sassy sister Nancy D. Cox.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Ross of Fuquay Varina, NC; Kelly Shane of Louisburg, NC; and Kristy Goldberg of Wilson, NC; her niece and nephew, Beth and Clarkston, her amazing grandchildren and adorable great grandchildren.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to her sweet care-taker, Bonnie Violette, whom Doreen loved so dearly and the Meadowmont Neighbors who long took care of Doreen and her three girls.
