Douglas Holland Erwin, 54, of 508 North Raleigh Road, Angier, died Saturday March 19, 2016. Born in Wake County he grew up in Cary and attended Cary High. Douglas was the son of the late Arthur “Pat” and Edwina Erwin. He was a caring son, brother and friend. He was a painter and a carpenter by trade. He possessed a gentle and loving spirit and is now at peace with our Lord.
Mr. Erwin is survived by his mother, Edwina Erwin of Cary; two brothers, David and Alan (Elaine) Erwin; three nephews, Taylor, John Michael and Jonathan; and one niece, Kristin Erwin. He is also survived by his special girlfriend, Deborah Smith; and his former wife, Linda Ann Debnam.
A memorial service will be at 11:00AM Friday, March 25, 2016, at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church located at 110 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, NC 27511. A reception will follow in the church narthex.
