Douglas was born March 21, 1942 in Toccoa, GA to the late Howard and Pauline Evans. He was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Georgia State University and the University of Georgia. Douglas was a longtime Real Estate Broker in the Apex, Cary area.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susannah Morrow Evans; son, Kirk Evans; daughters, Krista Martin and Erica Evans Hayes; and six grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
