Edward Milton Craig, 76, passed away November 2, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 12, 1950, to Edward and Billie Jo Craig, Ed lived a remarkable life defined by service, adventure, determination and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
A proud United States Marine, Ed honorably served his country for 20 years, including service during the Vietnam War, before retiring as a Master Sergeant. His time in the Marine Corps was a source of tremendous pride and reflected the strength, discipline, and determination that remained with him throughout his life.
For more than 50 years, Ed’s passion for aviation took him to great heights, quite literally. An accomplished professional pilot, he spent over half a century doing what he loved most. He held an impressive collection of qualifications to fly numerous aircraft, including the Boeing 737, Challenger 300, and the innovative Beechcraft Starship.
Ed’s talents extended well beyond the cockpit. A skilled carpenter and an electronics wizard, he was the kind of man who could build, repair or figure out just about anything. When he wasn’t flying, building or tinkering with something, Ed enjoyed fishing.
Ed was proceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Billie Jo Craig, and his sister, Ginger Garcia.
Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, leaving behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Faye; three children, Billie Craig (Heather), Allison Wood (Tommy), and Jennifer Clark (Conrad); his eight grandchildren, Christopher Whitley, Landon Craig, Nathan Craig, Edward Craig, Lillie Wood, Makenna Wood, Gabbie Clark, and Addie Clark; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Bob Craig; his sisters, Laura Robinson and Sioux Jacka; and many special nieces, nephews and special friends.
Ed’s life cannot be measured simply by the years he lived or the impressive things he accomplished. His legacy lives in the family he loved, the lessons he taught, the things he built, the people he helped and the stories that will be told about him for generations.
His final flight may be complete, but the love, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will carry on forever.
