

Elaine was born February 17, 1964, in Chicago, IL. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Master of Sciences in Counseling at Walden University. She worked as a Senior Manager in Training & Development at Amgen. She was co-author of Human Diseases: A Systemic Approach.
She is survived by her mother Diane Dafnis; former husband Drew Tompary; siblings Bill (Joan) Dafnis and Athena (Layth) Alwan; children Christopher Nicodemus Tompary and Andriana (Jonathan) Burrell; nephews Amir and Gabriel Alwan; nieces Vanessa Alwan and Elle Dafnis; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Dafnis; and former in-laws Gust and Angeline Tompary.
Elaine was an active member of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Morrisville, NC. She enjoyed sharing meals, laughter, and her passion for quilting with those around her, and she always put the needs of others above her own.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, 3491 Pleasant Grove Church Rd, Morrisville, NC 27560, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 9:30 AM.
