She is predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Jones, 10 brothers and sisters, and her husband, Kenneth Douglas Ballou. She is survived by her brother, Arthur R. Jones of Lincoln, Nebraska, her sons, Robert Clinton Ballou (Bronwen) of Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Richard Arthur Ballou (Dee) of Cary, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
It was her wish, as it was of her husband who passed nearly 28 years ago, to decline any sort of service or detailed obituary. Which, in the end, is only fitting: words cannot adequately express the deep impact, whether directly or indirectly, both have had and will continue to have on the lives of others.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
