Frank Edward Elander Jr.

Frank was born on August 10th, 1941, in Lawrence, MA, to the late Frank Edward Elander,Sr. and Nora Catherine Regan Elander. Frank graduated from North Andover High School in MA in 1959 and attended Merrimack College. He served in the U.S Air Force as an Airman First Class and then worked as a project manager at Lockheed Martin prior to retiring. In 1969, he married his wife of 46 years, Marcia Janine Rosinski Elander.

Frank enjoyed singing in the church choir, hiking, traveling, Boston Pops concerts, rooting for the Patriots and Red Sox, bocce ball, and spending time with his family and many friends. He was always a gentleman and known for his kindness, sense of humor, humility, generosity, loyalty, and love for his wife and daughter, Katy. Frank and Marcia eventually followed their daughter and her family down to the Raleigh area of NC after living in their home in North Andover for over 40 years. Frank loved the Lord with all his heart, and we know that he is in his eternal Home with his Heavenly Father.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Mary Austin.

Frank is survived by his wife, Marcia, daughter Kathryn Elander Samuel, her husband Jesse Evan Samuel, his grandsons Aden Jesse Samuel and Bryton Elander Samuel, and his brother Richard Daniel Elander together with his wife, Nancy, brother-in-law, Gene Rosinski, sister-in-law, Maryanna Grinovich, her husband, Edward, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on September 12th at 2:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park.
