Frank Andrew Kerr

January 21, 1965May 11, 2019

Frank Andrew Kerr, 54, entered Heaven on May 11, 2019.

Known to many as a gentle, kind soul who gave the absolute best hugs, Frank was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan with a passionate affinity for Diet Coke. He worked for 6 years bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s in Cary and so loved his TJ’s friends. Frank also deeply loved and was very devoted to his family. But more than anything else, Frank loved Jesus. He often would interrupt his own singing in church to call out, “I love you, Jesus!” In fact, Frank’s very last words were the evening before he left this earth when he began singing the old song, “Oh, How I Love Jesus.”

Frank’s uncanny ability to love unconditionally and comfort anyone in distress touched hearts in a deep way that words cannot express. He was an amazingly precious gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on January 21, 1965 in Evanston, IL, Frank is survived by his mother, Wilma Thomas; siblings, Su, Julie and Don (Aster) Jenkins, and Win (Janine) Kerr; and his beloved niece, Sonja Jenkins.

Frank was preceded in death by his brother Michael Kerr, Grandparents Frank and Ada Weisman, and Great Grandmother Alvina “Nana” Wade.

A celebration of Frank's life will be held Sunday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Cary Church of God, 107 Quade Drive, Cary, NC 27513. Anyone who has Chicago Cubs attire (hats, shirts, etc.) is encouraged to wear it.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmaus: A Jesus Church, PO Box 3805, Cary, NC 27519 in memory of Frank Kerr.
